Dave Lordan will read from The Boy in The Ring, his 2007 book of poems based on his experiences growing up in Clonakilty in the 80s & 90s. The book won both major national prizes for debut poetry collections, the Kavanagh & Strong Awars – it was the first book ever to do so & is widely considered one of the strongest & most influential poetry collections of the 21st Century so far in Ireland. Dave will perform work from throughout the collection, telling the story behind each of the poems. Be prepared to be blown away by words & their delivery”
Dave never simply reads…he performs. His mesmeric style is sure to capture you as well as the brilliance of his content.
