Bloomsday in Clonakilty will be celebrated for the third year running on June 16th, 2017. It is now traditional for everyone, dressed or not in Joycean garb, to meet at the Post Office at noon before making the epic voyage through the town to DeBarra’s Folk Club. Our special guest is local man Phillip Joyce, James Joyce’s grandnephew. Phillip will be sharing stories and anecdotes from his family and the Cork history of the Joyces. We will be showing a quick guide to ‘Ulysses’ with slides and music followed by an open invitation for all attending to read or share their own story or experience about Ulysses. There will be servings of Gorgonzola cheese, fresh kidneys and black pudding as well as light refreshments courtesy of M J O’Neill’s Butchers, The Real Olive Company, and De Barras. All are welcome to participate. All enquiries to .’
